The Jenny Lind Polka was written in 1846 by Allan Dodworth. This arrangement is scored for Civil War Band.
Jenny Lind was known as the “Swedish Nightingale.” She was an opera singer who made her fame on the German and English stages. In 1850 P.T. Barnum signed Lind to a 92 concert concert in America. She was so popular that when her tour was completed, she continued another 2 years under her own management.
